Volleyball
The game of volleyball was created by William G. Morgan in 1895 at the YMCA in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Originally called mintonette.
Team Volleyball is played by two teams with 6 players each aiming for 25 points to win. An "Ace" is a serve when the receiving team fails to return the ball.
Volleyball Equipment and Court
- A volleyball is typically white, but blue and yellow are now widely accepted colors.
- The standard volleyball court is 18 x 9 meters with a net 1 meter wide and 2.43 meters high for men and 2.24 meters high for women.
